The Marquès-Bonet Lab (https://www.ibe.upf-csic.es/marques) is offering a junior/senior postdoctoral position to carry out projects on primate population genomics.

The selected applicant will carry out projects that combine state-of-the-art sequencing techniques and bioinformatic analysis of hundreds of whole genome sequences of wild born and captive primate individuals as well, as global data from non-invasive,  historical and ancient samples.

If you have a PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics or related field and experience with population genomic analyses and NGS data, send your CV and motivation letter to tomas.marques@upf.edu .

The position is part of the European Training Network “PUSHH: Palaeoproteomics to Unleash Studies on Human History”, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 861389. The primary goal of this PhD project would be to clarify the phylogenetic position of Miocene hominoids and more recent Plio-Pleistocene primate fossils (New World Monkeys and Old World Monkeys) .
