MICROSCOSM BCN is one of the fourteen winning projects of the 2023 grant call, resulting from a collaboration agreement between the Barcelona City Council and "la Caixa" within the BCN Ciència plan.

The project will form a research tool to explore different scenarios of global warming and bioremediation in urban soils, aiming to make local ecosystems more resilient to climate change.

It will also contribute to a new experimental and scientific outreach facility at the Museum of Natural Sciences as part of the Citadel of Knowledge initiative.
