Salvador Carranza, new vice-director of the IBE
The change was formally approved by the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees of the Institute last July

Carranza is the principal investigator of the Systematics, Biogeography and Evolution of Reptiles lab, and replaces Iñaki Ruiz-Trillo, who assumed the role of vice-director on June 2017. With such replacement, the direction of the IBE is led by Tomàs Marquès-Bonet, director, and vice-directors Elena Bosch and Salvador Carranza.
