IBE Diversity Committee representatives attend the 5th CSIC Equality Committees Meeting

On June 17, Pilar Rodriguez and Daniel Richter, coordinators of the IBE Diversity Committee, attended the fifth CSIC Equality Committees Meeting at the Eduardo Torroja Institute of Construction Sciences in Madrid.

The event, which took place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., was attended by the President of the CSIC, Eloísa del Pino; the Deputy General Secretary for Human Resources (SGARH), Beatriz Esteban; the Commissioner for Promoting a Healthy and Safe Work Environment (COMSE), Mª Carmen Artuñedo; as well as 180 representatives from 79 equality committees of the CSIC’s research institutes (ICUs).

Throughout the day, attendees were invited to debate, exchange opinions, make proposals, and collaborate on the development of equality at the CSIC. The event included several plenary talks and group work sessions that collectively addressed and reflected on topics such as intersectionality, the gender dimension in research, protocols and prevention of sexual harassment, and career development at the CSIC for all groups.
