To celebrate the PRBB Intervals programme's 5th birthday, in the afternoon of July 4, 12 junior-middle grade scientists competed for the award of the "Best Science Presenter" in the PRBB. The winning presentation was from Roni Wright from CRG and was entitled: "Nuclear energy crisis averted: ATP generation where, and when you need it". This first prize was awarded with a check of 500€. The second prize went to Albert Antolín from IMIM (200€) and the third to Neus Bota (100€) from IBE (CSIC-UPF). Congratulations to the winners and also to the other 9 presenters who did an outstanding job.

Presenting science to peers is one of the most challenging aspects of communicating scientific research. Given that most conferences and research meetings now involve dialogue between scientists from a variety of different backgrounds, finding a common ground that permits a useful exchange of ideas, is increasingly difficult. That's why the this format was selected to celebrate 5 years of PRBB Intervals, the continuing professional development programme for residents at the park.

After the award ceremony, the winners, the speakers, the jury and the numerous audience celebrated the anniversary with a glass of cava and a birthday cake and congratulated Elinor Thompson and Ero Jimenez for their good job as director and assistant of the Intervals programme.
