Science is full of SHEroes whose passion, work and creativity inspired Evolutionary Biologists of today.

As part of our commitment with society, the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (IBE, CSIC-UPF) wants to give credit and visibility to the achievements of female scientists in evolution.

To that aim, we launched the campaign #WhoisyourSHEro to share stories of women who had an impact in our researchers' scientific career through our social media and website.

The campaign keeps on moving as more and more women in evolution are inspiring the IBE community.

You can join the conversation through social media under the hashtag #WhoisyourSHEro

25.01.2021

The virtual event will consist of a number of talks, a round table on scientific career and a poster session. Aida Andrés, Evolutionary Biologist at the UCL Genetics Institute and former member of the IBE community, will hold a plenary session to round up the symposium.

Due to the current circumstances the symposium will be held via Conecta. You can access all sessions through this Conecta CSIC link. TIP: We recommend you use the latest version of Google Chrome.

Although talks are scheduled for the 4th and 5th of February, the Slack workspace with the posters is already up (click here!). You are more than welcome to start looking at them and to ask as many questions as you want. Remember there are independent channels for each talk session and poster, for the round table, and for the invited speaker’s talk, as well as for networking and technical troubleshooting.

You can download the booklet of the symposium here. Read it carefully, especially if you are participating either with a talk or with a poster.
