INVESTIGO Contract (12 months) – Support in Data Analysis and Visual Phenotyping
Applications Closing Soon!
The Evolutionary Networks Lab, aims to investigate studies natural and artificial networks in the search for universal evolutionary principles. We are interested in the role played by emergence, convergence and environmental fluctuations in the origin of evolutionary innovations, and how the pattern and process of evolution differs when traits are learned rather than transmitted genetically. The group brings expertise in complex systems, complex networks, and theoretical ecology. Learn more here.
INVESTIGO Contract: We are looking for a young researcher to join the IBE (CSIC-UPF) under an INVESTIGO contract to support R&D activities in the field of quantitative biology, within this research group led by Sergi Valverde.
The selected candidate will participate in research activities related to the computational analysis of biological data and visual phenotyping, contributing to the development of tools and scientific results.
Main tasks:
- Curation, integration, and management of biological databases.
- Development of reproducible analysis pipelines.
- Statistical analysis and visualization of results (Python and/or R).
- Visual phenotyping analysis from high-resolution images, including image processing and extraction of quantitative features.
Application process: Closing soon!
If you are interested, please contact us by email as soon as possible by sending your CV and a letter of interest to Dr Sergi Valverde ([email protected]).
